The Coordination and Engagement Officer reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff. ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and supports engagement initiatives across the Agency and with Advisory Commission Member States, including host countries and donors, related to the implementation of Colonna report through UNRWA High-Level Action Plan (HLAP). Supports Agency Field Offices, Departments and Representative Offices in developing their own engagement strategies and their HLAP requirements, including the implementation of relevant actions and information engaging external stakeholders. Supports the Deputy Commissioner-General (Operational Support) in the preparation of Integrity Briefings, organised twice a year, as part of the implementation of the Colonna’s recommendations, including following up with relevant stakeholders. Contributes to the development of communication messages to gain awareness and support of Advisory Commission Member States on HLAP; prepares related reports, for internal and external use, as required, especially on requests from UN Member States, host countries and donors. Coordinates with all stakeholders and following up on the implementation of HLAP; updates and advises the Senior Management on the progress for briefing to the Ad-Com, donors, UN and other non-governmental international bodies. As part of the Implementation Support Team (IST) for HLAP, facilitates and contributes to other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Executive Office; serves as Officer-In-Charge for the IST, in the absence of the IST Coordinator, as required.
