Were you paid less than your base salary? Here's something that you've forgotten when completing an application form UN P11/PHP.
UN P11/PHP refers to the United Nations Personal History Profile (P11) form used in the recruitment process for positions within the United Nations (UN) system. The P11 form is an official document that collects detailed information about an individual's personal background, education, work experience, skills, and other relevant qualifications.
The P11 form is an essential part of the application process for UN positions, particularly at the P-11 or PHP level, which typically refers to positions at the Professional (P) level within the UN's salary scale. These positions are generally characterized by a higher level of responsibility and expertise.
The P11/PHP form serves as a standardized format for candidates to provide comprehensive information about themselves, including their educational qualifications, employment history, language proficiency, and any specialized skills or knowledge they possess. It allows the UN to assess the suitability of candidates for specific positions and compare qualifications across applicants.
Candidates are usually required to complete the P11/PHP form and submit it along with their application for a UN job vacancy. The information provided in the form is used by the selection panel or hiring managers to evaluate the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experiences against the requirements of the position.
It's important to note that while the P11/PHP form is commonly used by the United Nations, other international organizations and institutions may have their own equivalent application forms with similar purposes.

Section of the Education
- First and most importantly, check that your academic qualifications meet all of the minimum requirements outlined.
- Avoid the "certificate" or "diploma" options. You should specifically designate "bachelor's degree" as the first level and "master's degree" as the subsequent level.
- Ensure that you indicate the date you graduated and check the "YES" box that applies to earning your degree.
- Specify the type of degree you have completed (full-time/part-time) and/or (in person/distance learning).
- Select "Other Accredited University" option if you cannot find yours.
Languages you speak
- List all languages that you know including your mother tongue, and indicate your proficiency level from the dropdown list provided in the four specified areas of "Reading" "Speaking" "Understanding" and "Writing". To be considered fluent in a language, your proficiency level in all four specified areas must be "Fluent". To be considered to have knowledge in a language, your proficiency level in at least two out of the four specified areas must be
- Be sure to list your native language as fluent (if you do not include English when it is required, you are disqualified).
- Your application will be rejected if you fail to indicate that you meet the requisite proficiency level for a language in which fluency or knowledge is required for this job opening. You may be considered not suitable if you fail to indicate that you meet the requisite proficiency level for a language in which fluency or knowledge is desirable for this job opening.
- If you apply for a position requiring proficiency in a particular language and do not indicate fluency in any of the 4 areas of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Understanding, application is rejected.
Work Experience History
- Be sure to list absolutely all of your professional experience, starting with your undergraduate degree. This includes all previous as well as current experience, in case you are working at this point. Even with the fact that certain aspects and assignments from your work career history may not be valuable to the position for which you are applying, the entire listing carries two important factors that positively influence the outcome of your application approval. First, the hiring manager keeps a count of years of experience in order to determine if that figure meets the requirements of the position. Second, the amount of experience has a direct impact on your salary level; that is, the more years of experience you are counted, the higher your salary will be; otherwise, if you do not list all your experience, you risk getting paid below the base salary you are supposed to have.

- Include 5-10 of your personal accomplishments in a specific section called " Achievements".
- Clearly and accurately describe your responsibilities while working in a particular position in a particular organization, as recruiters do not have knowledge of each organization's work processes and its terminology.
- Since the UN considers even work experience that lasts several months, take the effort to indicate all of them, their end dates, and make a consistent list of your previous experiences.
