Under the direct supervision of the National MEAL Officer and in close coordination with Unit Heads, regional MEAL focal points, and Headquarters, the incumbent will leads the design, implementation, and monitoring of all MEAL components for IOM’s humanitarian and peace portfolio in Cameroon, including extensions to Equatorial Guinea and São Tomé and Príncipe.
The position is strictly dedicated to humanitarian response and peacebuilding, supporting crisis-affected populations to recover, build resilience, and foster peaceful, inclusive societies. The role ensures that MEAL activities are aligned with the Director General’s Strategic Framework, the humanitarian reset, and the durable solutions agenda, with a strong emphasis on accountability, innovation, and sustainability. The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and the Information Counseling and Referral System are key tools for evidence-based planning, monitoring and fundraising.
EDUCATION
University degree in Social Science, Emergency or Development Management or Planning, Statistics, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or Completed High School degree in above field with seven years of relevant experience.EXPERIENCE
Minimum five (05) years of professional experience in the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian or development projects. Proven experience in the use of data collection and analysis tools and software (Kobo, ODK, Excel, PowerBI, etc.). Experience with accountability mechanisms towards affected populations and approaches Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in Syrian context, an asset Knowledge of relevant international standards and frameworks (IOM MEAL Framework, SPHERE Standards, etc.). • Experience working with governments, NGOs, and international partners. Information analysis and report writing, required Proven ability to consolidate and validate information from multiple sources Proven ability to work with presentation software, e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint is a must.LANGUAGES
