Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Support the PSU in compiling inputs for project development and other periodic requests from donors, partners and senior management, in coordination with programme units.

2. Assist programme managers and the Reporting Officer in compiling donor reports in line with agreed reporting schedules.

3. Support PSU in fulfilling the Mission’s internal and external reporting requirements, highlighting necessary follow-up actions as required.

4. Gather programme information and data relevant to the mission for external and internal publication, and contribute to the drafting of project proposals, concept notes, presentations and other key documents in line with the mission’s priorities.

5. Facilitate the gathering of project teams’ feedback and challenges, and develop lessons learned for programme development, in close collaboration with the M&E Officer.

6. Assist in organizing regular learning activities such as after-action reviews, knowledge exchanges, and thematic discussions to strengthen institutional memory and promote cross-sectoral collaboration, including updating knowledge management tools.

7. Contribute to the drafting of talking points and briefing notes for the PSU Coordinator, Senior Management and programme teams.

8. Act as focal point for periodic field visits for donors and partners.

9. Utilise IOM systems such as PRIMA efficiently, verifying that all projects are accurately reflected and updated in a timely manner.

10. Support the unit with organising various events when needed and assist contracting and payment of services.

11. Undertake duty travel related to PSU activities as required and perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma with five years of relevant professional experience; or 
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.

    EXPERIENCE

  • This post is subject to local recruitment. Only those holding a valid residence and work permit for the country where this position is based will be eligible for consideration.
