Work LocationWORK FROM HOME, CAMEROON Expected duration60 DAYS ( 2 months) Duties and ResponsibilitiesBackground In the resolution on the review of the functioning of the revitalized Resident Coordinator system, adopted by Member States in October 2021, the General Assembly notes the progress made by United Nations Country Team in providing annual reports to programme countries on the implementation of the United Nations sustainable Development Cooperation Framework or an equivalent planning framework, urges the entities of the United Nations development system to invest in and take full advantage of the UNINFO common reporting platform to facilitate system-wide analysis of results, and requests the Secretary-General, acting in accordance with the provisions of resolutions 72/279 and 75/233, to ensure that all resident coordinators and United Nations Country Team report annually to their respective programme countries, in a systematic and timely manner, on the results they have achieved, with a view to ensuring accountability, and to make these reports publicly available with the consent of the Governments concerned. The preparation of the new UN Annual Country Results Reports is guided by the 2019 UNDAF Guidelines. These guidelines aim to help country teams optimally illustrate the UN's contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The guidelines contained in this document replace the previous standardized format of the One UN Country Results Report, which was developed in 2015 by the United Nations Development Group. They have been designed to help UN Country Team produce better quality reports, in a timely manner and with reduced transaction costs, in order to strengthen relations and policy dialogues with national governments. To this end, the annual UN Country Results Reports are based on the following principles of scope, content, format, timing and quality assurance: • The UN Country Results Report should report on the progress of system-wide implementation of the Cooperation framework and other planning documents agreed between the UN and the government. In addition, it should include any other plans or priorities for increasing sustainable development within the country, in order to present a single consolidated annual report on results; • The primary target audience for the UN Country Results Report is the national population. The Report is submitted to the government to ensure accountability. It is also widely shared with other stakeholders in the country to ensure full visibility of results. The Report is written in languages (English and French) and a format accessible to all stakeholders; • The UN Country Results Report uses country-specific data available on the UN-Info platform, the information management system, and other appropriate platforms that are updated by the Office of the Resident Coordinator and the UN Country Team. • The UN Country Results Report serves as the basis for other mandatory reports at regional and global level, including the annual report of the President of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group on the Development Operations Coordination Office of the Economic and Social Council, which highlights the work of the Resident Coordinator and the system-wide implementation of the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals. This consultancy aims to ensure the translation and quality assurance of the proposed contents on the one hand, and to propose guidelines for the graphic charter and infographics of the reporting documents on the other, in line with the guidelines on the preparation of United Nations country results reports, in close connection with the Cooperation framework 2022-2026, on the basis of contributions and consultation reports received from agencies, Cooperation framework results groups, the UN Country Team (UNCT), the Program Management Team (PMT) and the Resident Coordinator's Office (RCO).
