This vacancy is to cover several full-time internship positions for a duration of 6 months each, within the period of 10 March – 9 September 2025, with an opportunity for extension, depending on the learning opportunities the Division can offer. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must meet one of the following qualifications at the time of application: • enrolment in graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); • enrolment in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's level or equivalent); • possession of a university degree, as defined above. Additional prerequisites include: • academic background in international relations, international law, economics, development studies, or related fields; • a deep and demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; • an interest in one or several of the Division's key areas of work, including trade, economic cooperation, innovation, public-private partnerships (PPP)/infrastructure financing, circular economy, digitalization, standardization; • proficiency in standard software applications; • proven ability to successfully engage with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs, showing an openness to try and understand and respect differing opinions and views. Interns shall not be eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any post in the Secretariat for a period of six months following the end of their internship.
