Background
This position is located in the UNDSS office in Baghdad/ Iraq, locally administered by the UNDP.
The Duty Team Assistant – Guard Unit will be performing variety of tasks while ensuring Safe and Secure environment for UN Premises personnel and assets. The Duty Team Assistant – Guard Unit duties are performed in eight (8) hours rotating shifts which are covering 24/7 duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in providing security management support to enable effective programme delivery throughout the country while protecting and minimizing risks to UN personnel and operations:
Perform assigned activities to support implementation of the Security Plan, Contingency Plans and Business Continuity Management, and the UN Security Framework.
Provide support in keeping UN management and personnel informed on security matters affecting UN programmes, the UN Premises and its personnel.
The incumbent shall perform other duties within their functional profile, as deemed necessary, for the efficient functioning of the of the Office, Organization and the Guard Unit (GU).
Institutional Arrangement
Under the guidance and supervision of the Deputy Security Guard Unit Supervisor, the Duty Team Assistant – Guard Unit will be responsible for the above mentioned tasks.
