UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a contract within the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Services in our Office in The Hague, The Netherlands.

UNHCR has traditionally been funded by voluntary contributions from Member States. Due to the enormous increase in the number of refugees, fundraising in the private sector has become increasingly important. For the coming years, UNHCR has the ambition to generate $1 Billion annually in private donations through its PSP Unit. This position will sit within UNHCR’s Individual Giving (IG) team, which consists of five people and aims to raise funds from individuals in the Netherlands to support UNHCR’s work. The team currently consists of four enthusiastic fundraisers focused on attracting and retaining donors to grow our fundraising base. We are looking for a F2F acquisition and agency coordinator who will be fully responsible for the daily management and performance of our face-to-face program and managing of the agencies.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive team player, who is able to work independently as well, with a strong interest in fundraising, to become a steady and reliable asset to the UNHCR Netherlands operation within PSP Europe.

The purpose of the position is to provide daily management for our Face-to-Face (F2F) fundraising activities. In addition, testing, optimizing and further rolling out new fundraising instruments is essential for both recruiting and retaining donors. The position aims to maximize the donor base from IG for UNHCR. With the majority of newly acquired donors coming via F2F fundraising through agencies, we are looking for a professional to manage the F2F program including the relationships with the agencies.

Purpose and Scope of Assignment:

Under the supervision of the Associate PSP IG Officer, the Assistant IG Officer will have the following responsibilities:

• Daily management of all Face-to-Face (F2F) agencies;
• Providing briefings, trainings, do \"mystery shopping\" and continuously looking for improvements in services and results;
• Checking figures and data processes to ensure that all information is processed in a timely and accurate manner;
• Managing the frontliner programme;
• Checking verification calls and voicelogs;
• Providing necessary reports and analyses for different target groups (fundraisers, management, international colleagues, etc.);
• Conducting market research to identify best practices in the profit and non-profit sector with regards to F2F fundraising;
• Making recommendations on strategy and future planning including developing, implementing and reporting on the PSP annual plan;
• Performing any other PSP duties as requested.

Essential minimum qualifications and professional experience required:

a. Education

• Completion of HBO+ or University degree in Marketing, International Relations, Business Administration, Communications, or related field;

b. Work Experience

• Minimum one-year previous job experience relevant to the function;
• Proven experience with F2F fundraising channels and being familiar with the processes on recruitment and retention;
• Experience of managing agencies including the drafting and instruction on briefs, building relationships and management of the day-to-day operations;
• Experience in telemarketing is an advantage;

Location:

The successful candidate will be based with the team in UNHCR’s office in The Hague, Netherlands.

Conditions:

The position is associated with a yearly contract, valid until end of the year, with possibility of renewal. It is a full-time role with working hours starting from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
The salary is in line with the local UN NO Salary scale.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to an eliminatory written test to verify their technical competencies related to the role and their writing skills as well. The test will be in Dutch and/or English. Candidates, who passed the written test, will be invited to an interview as well. The interview will be in English and part of it can be in Dutch as well.
