Project Context and Scope
In the framework of a Canadian fund project, \"Jordanian Special Operation Forces (JORSOF) Female Accommodation Building (FAB)\" IOM will be conducting a study on the operational benefits and long-term impact of providing female-specific accommodations and training facilities on the recruitment, inclusion, and retention of female soldiers in the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)/ JORSOF. The findings of the study will contribute to enhancing JORSOF's capacity to conduct security operations by integrating and promoting the participation of female soldiers.
The study will also focus on assessing how the project contributed to Jordanian efforts in the implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security and objectives outlined in the Second Jordanian Action Plan (JONAP) for the implementation of UNSR 1325 for the period 2022–2025. In addition to human rights and rights-based approaches, in line with the UN Human Rights Due Diligence Policy (HRDDP). By adhering to this policy, the assessment will evaluate gender inclusivity and the alignment of females’ participation in the armed forces with human rights standards.

Any offer made to the candidate in relation to this vacancy notice is subject to funding confirmation. IOM covers Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work. IOM does not charge a fee at any stage of its recruitment process (application, interview, processing, training or other fee). IOM does not request any information related to bank accounts.
