Org. Setting and ReportingThis position is located in the Information and Communications Technologies Section. The TV and Video Assistant reports to the supervisor of the Telecommunications Unit. ResponsibilitiesUnder the overall supervision of the staff in charge of the Telecommunications Unit, the TV and Video Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: 1. Maintain and monitor the operation of hybrid meetings and conference streaming transmissions: - Coordinate with the requesting users all service requirements. - Coordinate the necessary activities with the unit's technicians to provide the service. - Coordinate technical requirements with the Conference Unit and the Public Information Unit. - Ensure the human and technical resources for each event - Maintain the best possible quality in transmissions (image resolution, audio in all languages, etc.). - If answered, review the satisfaction survey after the ticket is closed 2. Maintain and monitor the operation of the requested hybrid meetings: - Coordinate all service requirements with the requesting users. - Coordinate the necessary activities with the unit's technicians to provide the service. - If necessary, coordinate technical requirements with the Conference Unit. - Ensure human and technical resources for each event - Maintain the best possible quality of the hybrid meetings. - If answered, review the satisfaction survey after ticket closure 3. Work on special projects and coordination with other areas of ICTS, other ECLAC units and other UN Agencies in Santiago: - Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responding to queries, knowledge management, planning and decision making. Assists with visualizations and updating information material such as web pages or brochures. - Performs other related duties as required. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent is required. Job - Specific QualificationStudies in the ICT field related to telecommunication equipment are required. Work ExperienceAt least three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related areas is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience supporting large-scale virtual events with 1,000+ or more participants is required. One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this job opening, English and Spanish are required.
