Your team
Within the The Directorate Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre,The \"ATM Training\" service is a certified training provider operating under EU regulations. The service is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining training (internal and external) for ATC students & ATCO's. The \"ATM Training\" service also provides support and competence in the realisation of ATM related projects at MUAC.
Your role
Your role will be to:
- Develop the content of scenarios, in cooperation with technical experts and subject matter experts, for assessment of competence of ATSEPs and other technical staff.
Plan and assess the competence of ATSEP and other technical staff against defined competency profiles. This shall take the form of written or oral exams, practical demonstrations, simulated scenarios, and observations of on-the-job performance. Analyse the assessment results to determine whether technical staff meets the established competency standards and provide feedback to individuals on their strengths and areas for improvement. Design the curriculum and necessary training materials (presentations, hands-on exercises, and e-learning sessions) to meet the technical training needs for technical and operational staff. Deliver technical training and tailor the content and delivery style to the audience's level of expertise and learning needs. Maintain records on training, competency assessments/checks, certifications, etc. in accordance with applicable procedures. Report on the training and assessment activities in accordance with the approved plans and procedures. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
A level of post-secondary in a relevant field (i.e., engineering, computer science) and professional experience of 3 years, or completed university studies of at least 3 years in a relevant field (i.e. engineering, computer science) and professional experience of one year. A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience to perform advertised tasks.
Qualification as ATSEP competence assessor and training instructor would be considered as advantage.
Note to candidates: ATSEP Competence Assessor and Training Instructor qualification will be provided by the company and will have to be obtained by the end of the probation period. Experience in competency assessment. Experience acquired in regulated environment (e.g., Air Traffic Management, banking, production industry, nuclear power plants) would be considered as strong asset. Experience in the usage of assessment tools (e.g., checklists, questionnaires) to measure performance against established standards. Experience in development and delivery of technical training content for Air Traffic Management systems would be considered as advantage. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for ATSEP staff. Knowledge of adult learning principles. Understanding of computer-based training development. Understanding of ATM systems and ATM system components. Motivation and commitment to acquire knowledge/understanding of MUAC-related systems and their dependencies. Communication: You foster two-way communication. The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 5 Year(s) and it may be renewed up to a maximum of 9 years or converted into an undetermined contract pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. Before being established in the post, he/she will be requested to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months. The successful candidate shall be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
