Under the overall supervision of the Head of Supply Chain Unit in South Sudan and direct supervision of the Supply Chain Officer and in collaboration with relevant units in South Sudan, the Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible and accountable for the procurement of supplies, services and works of IOM Country Office, Juba.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
project codes and other needed information from requestors, particularly from
programme managers in the mission.
2. Closely coordinate and ensure that all project related purchases are reviewed
and approved by programme managers.
3. Present quotations for review and approval of the supervisor.
4. Create Purchase Orders and solicitation in WAVE
5. Ensure the timely delivery of procured supplies and materials.
6. Maintain records of all transactions, ensuring that an efficient filing system for
record of all quotations, copies of records of expenditure, receipts, local order
forms, etc is kept.
7. Closely coordinate with Program Managers and ensure that all outstanding
commitments are cleared timely.
8. Maintain contract tracking database.
9. Process payment through WAVE (Oracle system)
10. Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time which are
commensurate to the position.
