Organizational Context and Scope
Under overall supervision of the Head of Office and the direct supervision of the Sub Regional Project Officer (Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM)) and in close collaboration with the Senior Regional Project Manager (DTM Regional Evidence for Migration Analysis and Policy (REMAP)) based in IOM’s Global Data Institute (GDI) in Berlin, Germany, the Sub-Regional Project Associate (DTM REMAP) will be supporting the implementation of the DTM REMAP project through data generation and assisting with the production of various reports.
In close coordination with the DTM REMAP Support Team, assist with the consolidation of project progress reports from the DTM REMAP country teams in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and draft specific inputs for the preparation of background notes, information sheets and presentations.Provide technical and logistical assistance for the roll out, expansion and institutionalization of DTM REMAP operations at national and sub-regional levels in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Draft specific inputs to assist with the development of DTM methodologies, workplans, data collection tools, and training materials for the field staff under close supervision and guidance. Participate in monitoring, cleaning and processing of national and sub-regional DTM REMAP data.Assist with assigned data analysis of national and sub-regional DTM REMAP data to support reporting requirements. In close coordination with sub-regional, regional, and DTM REMAP management, liaise with relevant national stakeholders.Support quality control of the project outputs by maintaining accurate and orderly records of activity reports related to migration data and statistics. Bring issues to the prompt attention of the supervisor. Provide support for the organization of national and sub-regional DTM REMAP project briefings, data seminars and other visibility events for national government stakeholders by producing invitations, participant lists and background notes. Proof-read and format DTM REMAP documents and reports including but not limited to DTM dashboards and DTM reports. Provide administrative and logistical assistance for the organization of sub-regional DTM REMAP workshops and national DTM trainings for relevant government authorities. Provide administrative and logistical support as needed. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.EDUCATION
Master’s degree in Migration studies, Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or,University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in DTM data monitoring, cleaning and analysis;Experience in developing, proof-reading and/or editing DTM reports;Experience in donor liaison and reporting is an advantage;Experience in DTM reporting is an advantage;Experience in using Adobe Indesign; and,Experience in IOM liaison at global, regional and cross-regional level is an advantage.SKILLS

IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, and Spanish) and/or Russian is an advantage.
