Our employment opportunity of the moment: Senior Strategic Knowledge Translation Officer
Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)
As the Senior Strategic Knowledge Translation Officer, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:
Leading the development and delivery of annual workplans that ensure IDRC programs and granting mechanisms incentivize and support the real-world processes of moving research into action, for example, for policy influence, behavioral change, program improvement or product development.Presenting to IDRC staff, senior management and/or Board of Governors, contributing strategic analysis on trends and views on ways that IDRC could strengthen its investments in evidence use. This includes providing updates on forward plans and reporting back on progress.Assessing proposals and preparing approval documents for projects that aim to contribute to the science of research use and scaling impact, including contributing expertise to conceptual, methodological, operational, evaluative and financial aspects.Identifying, consolidating and synthesizing learning from investments in research use, drawing on approaches and practices across IDRC’s programming portfolio, the experiences of other strategic stakeholders (such as other donors and research communities) and the global literature.Coordinating IDRC engagement in key evidence use fora, including networks, conferences and meetings, with a view to helping the Centre mobilize alliances to strengthen research for development practice.For more details on the primary duties and responsibilities, view Job Details.
