The Green Climate Fund (GCF)—a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement—is the world’s largest climate fund mandated to support low-emission, climate-resilient development pathways. As an operating entity of the financial mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), GCF contributes to the goal of keeping an average global temperature rise well below two degrees Celsius.
The Fund seeks to engage the Senior Multilateral Governance and Board Affairs Consultant to join its team at headquarters in Songdo, Republic of Korea. The assignment is for an initial 230 days over a 12-month period , with the possibility of extension based on performance and the needs of the organization.
Role
The Senior Consultant will provide expert advice on multilateral governance and Board affairs, focusing on GCF’s participation in the UNFCCC processes, engagement with key stakeholders such as Board members, and navigating the international climate finance architecture. This role is crucial for supporting GCF's strategic objectives within the broader UNFCCC framework.
