What we are looking for

NRC Iraq is looking for a Consortium Manager whose primary purpose will be to oversee the protection consortium of Iraq, facilitate inter-member engagement and information sharing and act as a liaison between the Consortium Steering Committee (CSC) and the Members. 

They will be responsible for strategic advice on the management and direction of the consortia programme(s), overseeing operational management and implementation of the consortium’s deliverables. They will also assist in the coordination and implementation of Consortium projects, lead on grant and financial management, reporting and donor engagement.

What you will do

The role will have some of the following responsibilities:

Coordinate with consortium members to ensure high quality implementation of activities, compliance with donor and consortium rules, and accountability to beneficiaries. Ensuring delivery of the consortium's objectives and accountability to consortium members and donors. Leads the coordination and communication between consortium members and partners on a day-to-day basis as well as reporting to the Consortium Steering Committee, as communication is one of the key elements of the position. Supportive management and mentoring of the M&E staff and recruitment of any replacement should it be required during the term of the consortium  Ensure compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures. Ensure programme support to integrated programme, coordination and technical quality.  Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and extracting and implementing key learnings from project implementation. Provide inputs relevant for Core Competency strategies. Represent the Consortium partners, donors, Government Ministries, NGOs. Develop project proposals in collaboration with relevant consortium member staff and coordinate input for reporting to donors. Accountable for compliance in relation to grant management and project cycle management processes including overview of each partner’s spending. Responsible for quality control of donor applications and reports, for content and timeliness.

What you will bring

Minimum 5 years’ senior project management position (preference if working in consortia, international and national partnerships or equivalent structures), with responsibility for programming in a humanitarian/protracted crisis or development context.  Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Arabic/ Kurdish is an advantage. Knowledge of the context in Iraq. Knowledge of donor landscape, priorities and conditions. Donor reporting and proposal writing. Experience of working with ECHO and other European donors is a distinctive advantage.

What we offer:

Duty station: Erbil, Iraq. Contract: Fixed term till April 30th, 2026 (renewable based on funding, performance and need for the position). Travel: 40% within Iraq.
