In the framework of the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project, the TE-VSC group (Vacuum, Surface and Coatings) is in charge of the Vacuum and Beam Screen Work Package (WP12) and several vacuum-related contributions to other work packages (WPs). WP12 includes several activities, namely the production of beam screens, the aC coating of beam screens and the layout modifications in the collider Long Straight Sections and Experimental Areas. The contributions of other work packages are spread over several domains, such as beam instrumentation, superconducting links, cryogenics, normal and superconducting magnets, collimation, and beam transfer.
For all these activities, this position will present opportunities for learning, developing, and implementing project management tools and processes, working in one of the largest accelerator technologies projects in the world in a diverse and international environment.

At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern.
Diversity has been an integral part of CERN's mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization. Employing a diverse workforce is central to our success.
