The Project Coordinator will oversee the overall Ayeyarwady emergency response, ensuring effective coordination, monitoring of quality implementation, management, and reporting of activities. He/She will also provide technical supervision and capacity building support to implementation partners, facilitating a rapid and effective response to crises arising from conflict displacement and natural disasters.

- Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of country, area and strategies; initiate and participate in the development of relevant Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and emergency response, project proposals, and provide input on needs and gaps.
- Coordinate and manage emergency response project implementation (activities, budget follow up and project documentation, reporting) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements
- Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projects
- Provide regular monthly progress reports.
- Support the development and management of project budgets and coordinate across Core Competencies
- Ensure capacity building of project staff, implementation partners and transfer key skills
- Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with NRC’s advocacy strategy.

- Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior level project implementation or coordination position in a humanitarian context.
- Working proficiency in multi-sectoral emergency response, such as cash, shelter, protection, food, NFIs and WASH.
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Very good command of oral and written English.
- Experience in capacity building and partnership communication skills.
- Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.
- Proven experience in managing/supporting cash based intervention with a national/local NGO or INGO Experience of working with partners
- Experience of M&E procedures and reporting, including developing questions for baseline, PDMs and end-line surveys
- Experience of market assessments and price monitoring, desirable but not essential
- Experience in managing beneficiary assessments
