ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE:

Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager and the direct supervision of the National Project Officer for the Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) Unit, the successful candidate will support the implementation of projects aimed at enhancing Thailand's capacity to manage migration flows, combat transnational crimes, and improve border governance funded by the Government of Canada under the thematic area of IBG in the IOM Thailand Country Office.
 

Provide administrative and technical support for program management and project implementation, including ensure timely delivery of project results, conduct quality control an day-to-day financial support for project’s capacity-building programs for law enforcement and immigration officers.Liaise with relevant government agencies, such as the Royal Thai Police and Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, as well as NGOs and other stakeholders, to support effective coordination and project implementation.Assist in the development and delivery of training materials developed by the unit, including but not limited to training manual on document examination, identity verification, as well as counter counter-trafficking and smuggling of migrants. Support the organization of meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including preparing concept notes, agendas, drafting minutes, and coordinating logistics. Assist in monitoring policy development in Thailand and provide regular update on the policy development related to migration management and migrant rights in Thailand.Compile and manage data related to project outputs, outcomes, and performance indicators.Contribute to project reporting by collecting and reviewing data and reports from implementing partners, and preparing monthly updates for internal and external use.Assist to informally translate unofficial documents and communication materials from English to Thai and vice versa, as required.Travel to project implementation sites as needed to monitor activities and provide on-site assistance. Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful implementation of the project and that of the Unit.

EDUCATION

High school diploma with at least five years of relevant working experience; orBachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, public administration, or any related field from an accredited institution with at least three years of relevant working experience.

Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

EXPERIENCE

Proven experience in project implementation, monitoring, and reporting, preferably in areas related to migration, human rights, or law enforcement.Familiarity with the operational context of migration and border management in Thailand.Prior experience with international organizations or NGOs is a strong advantage.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work in a multi‐cultural environment and respect diversity.

LANGUAGES

Fluency in English and Thai is required (oral and written).
