    This position is based in Port Sudan and reports to The Head of the M&E Unit.

    THE ROLE

    Under the supervision of Head of the M&E Unit, the incumbent will:

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):

    • Support line manager in ensuring that CO monitoring systems and tools are in place and compliant with corporate standards including the minimum monitoring requirements (MMR), standard operational procedures (SOP) and establishment of baselines and targets in alignment with the updated corporate results framework (CRF).

    • Draft regular monitoring reports on status of results and implementation progress and contribute to the data analysis.

    • Contribute to the development or updating of M&E tools, methodologies, and data collection instruments to ensure accurate and reliable data.

    • Contribute to ensuring data quality, accuracy, and completeness through rigorous data cleaning and validation processes.

    • Support to manage CO monitoring data in COMET, ensuring all output, outcome and cross-cutting data is up-to-date and data quality and validation protocols are implemented.

    • Contribute to building M&E capacity of WFP staff and partners through training and information sharing.

    • Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, including program staff.

    • Support to the design and implementation of assessments, surveys, including data collection, and analysis.

    • Contribute to the development of innovative, user-friendly, and useful knowledge products for internal and external stakeholders.

    • Contribute to Donors’ proposal, Logframe creation, coordination of all activities related to Donors’ monitoring and response/addressing the findings and Donors’ reporting.

    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of M&E.

      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

      Education:

      Advance university degree in Economics, Statistics, social sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, or another relevant field or First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.

      Experience:

      • Minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience in international development or humanitarian work monitoring and evaluation activities.

      • Experience using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and methods.

        Language:

        Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic (level C).
