Under the general supervision of the Data Specialist the incumbent will perform the following duties: Responsibilities1. Assists in developing Human Resources (HR) insight reports for clients using SAP (Systems Applications and Products) reports, Business Intelligence (BI), Customer Relationship Management (CRM/iNeed) tool and Recruitment and Learning/Performance Management (Inspira) platform: • Serves as HRMS Business Intelligence Power User; • Assists in designing, developing and implementing standard reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to support the information requirements of management and the global staff community; • Assists in testing of a variety of newly designed SAP reports before implementation and interacts with the ERP system team to report bugs where necessary; • Assists in reporting in the SAP system, HR data validation and cleansing; • Extracts, prepares and reviews data from SAP and Legacy ERP (IMIS) systems and the HRMS scorecard application to ensure validity and accuracy of data; • Resolves end user reporting problems in UN corporate applications; 2. Operation Support Desk: • Receives, processes and approves Index Number Requests as Global Index Administrator in ERP system for staff, non staff and others; • Troubleshoots issues relating to Global Index requests and HR Mini-master Personnel Actions; escalate via the internal CRM to OHRM where necessary; • Communicates with clients on the status of their requests; • Assists as HRMS IT Focal Point; • Reviews and updates the HRMS intranet content; • Participates as Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS) liaison focal point for various support, including but not limited to bulk orders of HRMS computers; • Participates as Information Technology (IT) critical staff for Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and maintains records of BCP equipment in HRMS. 3. Staff development and career support training: • Provides support and training for Inspira ePerformance and workforce management; • Provides first and second level support on Inspira, performance management and Inspira learning courses; escalates third level support Inspira related issues to the Inspira support team where necessary; • Provides technical support related to recruitment activities in Inspira across the board; • Provides training relating to Global Index requests and HR Mini-master Personnel Actions; • Provides support for Consultant /Individual Contractor iNeed ticket and work orders; • Assists in the organization and conduct of training courses and workshops; • Liaises with colleagues within HRMS, client offices and Inspira support where necessary. 4.General: • Undertakes research on a range of HR related issues and prepares notes/reports; • Assists in the preparation of information circulars for HR related issues; • Provides general office support services; processes, drafts, edits, proofreads and finalizes for signature/approval, a variety of correspondence and other communications; performs budget preparation input monitoring and implementation in SAP, etc; • Generates and prepares reports pertaining to entitlements in line with Staff Rules and Regulations concerning travel entitlements, currency of payment of emoluments and rental subsidy; • Monitors issues on conditions of service of staff and advises the supervisor of any developments. • Performs other duties as required. Work ExperienceA minimum of seven (7) years of experience in information technology, information management, human resources management, administration or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced by two years for candidates who possess a first level University degree. Experience with self-service analytics and data visualization applications (MS PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau or similar) is desirable. ERP (Enterprise resource planning) or SAP (Systems Applications and Products) data reporting experience is desirable. A minimum of three (3) years of experience developing HR dashboards is desirable. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this job opening, English is required. French is desirable.
