As a Procurement Professional, you will be involved in a full range of activities related to the Organization's procurement of supplies. You will:
Your responsibilities
Advise and support CERN's research and technical departments in identifying procurement strategies within budgets and deadlines;Conduct market consultations with a view to preparing the procurement and informing economic operators of the procurement plans and requirements;Prepare price enquiries and analyse bids received;Negotiate, place and follow up orders, contracts, collaboration agreements and contract amendments, with suppliers and institutes to ensure the lowest possible overall cost within the applicable legal framework;Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;Manage or contribute to purchasing-related projects. Skills and/or knowledge
Defining procurement strategies;Reviewing and providing advice on technical specifications;Drafting of commercial documents for a supply or a service contract;Managing and following up commercial aspects of contracts, including critical examination and detailed analysis of commercial offers;Sourcing new suppliers;Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in economics, purchasing, law, engineering. (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Job closing date: 28 June 2024 at 12:00 AM (midnight) CET.
