The Mongolia Country Office Country Programme is committed to protecting children's rights in line with international obligations. The programme priorities were selected based on consultations with national counterparts, United Nations agencies, and development partners to focus on areas that need action to achieve child-related national priorities and reduce equity gaps. The programme priorities, which include Health, Education, WASH and CC, Child Protection, and Social Policy, aims to promote funding, policies, and address geographic disparities across the country.

How can you make a difference?
Provide support in the development of a vision and strategy for engagements and partnerships with the business sector to benefit children in Mongolia. Work with different sections to help identify and cultivate relationships with key private sector stakeholders, including corporations, industry associations, and business leaders. Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with businesses for program delivery and advocacy. This includes gathering market intelligence, assisting in donor prospection, drafting program propositions and partnership agreements, and supporting donor reporting, while ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations. Assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of private sector engagement projects and initiatives. Help identify and secure funding and in-kind support from private sector partners. Promote the organization’s mission and programs within the private sector to raise awareness and support. Assist in supporting the Government in implementing the CRC General Comment #16 on Business and Child Rights to strengthen the policy environment for child-friendly workplaces and businesses. Support the rollout of the Business For Results (B4R) initiative in Mongolia, working closely with Program Sections and the Regional Office to apply knowledge and strengthen UNICEF Mongolia’s capacity to work with businesses. Support in implementing the work plan for the assigned area to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of results, in line with UNICEF Mongolia’s partnership strategy. Support the Office in maintaining effective relationships with the Government, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners to keep them informed about UNICEF’s work with businesses in Mongolia and increase collaboration potential. Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of professional experience in private sector engagement, partnership development, or a related field. Basic understanding of the private sector and its role in social development. UNICEF does not hire candidates who are married to children (persons under 18). UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF. Appointments may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid). Should you be selected for a position with UNICEF, you either must be inoculated as required or receive a medical exemption from the relevant department of the UN. Otherwise, the selection will be canceled.
