UNOPS Myanmar is one of UNOPS’ leading offices in Asia, acting as the fund manager for some of the largest development programmes in the country. In addition, UNOPS is the Principal Recipient for the Global Fund in Myanmar and for the Global Fund’s regional artemisinin-resistance initiative towards the elimination of Malaria, which works to accelerate progress toward malaria elimination in the Greater Mekong sub-region. UNOPS is hiring Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst (Database) to support the Local Assistance Myanmar Programme (LAMP). LAMP provides prioritized assistance such as food, WASH,NFIs and protection for highly vulnerable people in crisis affected areas of Myanmar, through primarily national and civil society organizations. LAMPs key activities include delivery of multi-sectoral assistance, capacity building, and support to coordination.
Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst (Database) will work under the overall oversight of the Senior Programme Manager and supervision by the Deputy Programme Manager. In accordance with UNOPS policies, procedure and practices.

Design and construct a database system according to the program needs which covers the following information o Geographical coverage of program implementationAssist to Develop data entry format and reporting designs by reviewing the report from partners.
Consolidate all partners’ data reports and make sure to have accurate and consistent data.
Manage the database and troubleshoot issues,optimize performance and maintain for up to date progress dataset
Create data visualization for the program achievement in terms of reach Vs target by geographical coverage, Implementing partners, age, gender, respective indicators, specific activities and program total, etc.
Maintain strict confidentiality for data.
Handling the Big Query data warehouse for data visualization in Google platform
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
Generate the achievements (by LAMP indicators and program requirements) of received clean data sets of M&E data reports such as quarterly, semi-annual report (SAR) , annual report (AR) from Senior M&E officers.
Data and information verification with respective Programme Officers and Senior M&E Officers
Combine all received data by LAMP indicators and additional requirements as required by organization and or donor (s).
Share the combined and analyzed data set with senior M&E officers as necessary
Conduct data analysis for verifying program reach and assist Senior M&E Officers to analyze the data according to program needs (e.g. targeting)
Produce data analysis results from project databases for current program operations, program adaptation and future new programming to help the team make better-informed decisions.
Document and share with the team interpretation and meaningful insights from the data analysis, as relevant
Work with Senior M&E Officers to stay updated on data management processes especially database system modification and adaptation based on the changes of program approach
Prepare dashboard and data reports for quarterly, SAR, AR, and ad hoc request
Collect the project information of each project such as locations, villages, community or IDPs camps information from Senior M&E Officers.
Provide training to Implementing Partners’ M&E staff on database management and data analysis if necessary.
Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst ensures accurate and secure data management to support program monitoring and evaluation. By designing and maintaining a database system, consolidating reports, and creating data visualizations, he/she enhances data-driven decision-making. The role in data verification, analysis, and dashboard preparation strengthens program tracking and accountability. Additionally, he/she support training for implementing partners, ensuring effective data management and reporting for improved program impact.
a. Education
A first level university degree (e.g Bachelor) preferably in data science, data analytics, statistics or other relevant field is required.
An advanced university degree (e.g. Masters) preferably in data science, data analytics, statistics or other relevant field, is desirable but not required, and may substitute for 2 years of work experience.
b. Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in research, data analytics, programming or related areas is required.
Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, including design of database structures and development of appropriate interfaces (e.g. Microsoft Excel) for data entry, ensuring data quality and security, update records and fields, modification of database structure, and generation of customized reports is desired.
Experience in analyzing data and producing reports is necessary.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Big Query, Google Data Studio, power query, or other data processing tools are required.
Experience in training project personnel in the use of database management and different software applications is desired.
Experience in writing and maintaining database design documentation and operating manuals is an asset.
c. Language Requirement
