Role and responsibilities

The following is a brief description of the role.

 

Generic responsibilities 

These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan.

Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelinesAssist of the implementation of the support function portfolio according to the plan of actionPrepare and develop status reports as required by the managementEnsure proper filing of documentResponsible for all stocks, warehouse and assets and submit relevant reportsTo update stock in / out and preparation of monthly stock movement.All stock to be physically counted, submit physical account checks and reconciliation report when required.Immediately report losses, damages or discrepancies

Speciic responsibilities

These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of program intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. 

Receive stocks and ensure that they are in good condition, accompanied with correct documentsMaintain records for all incoming and outgoing materialsSupervise packing, loading and unloading of all materialsEnsure availability of warehouse space, maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse at all timesReceives and inspects the physical condition of consignments and stores it appropriatelyInform logistics officer and relevant program staff on expiry date of consumable items stored in the warehouseEnsure maintenance of warehouse as per to NRC standardsCooperate and communicate clearly and effectively to ensure that smooth cost effective timely and compliant reception process is implementedKey holder of the warehouse and ultimately responsible for the store/warehouse contentsAssist in any other operational needs that maybe requested by Line Manager.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure/ respond to urgent requestsAbility of planning, timing, organizing, as well as problem solvingA bachelor degree or a diploma and Minimum 2 years’ experience as a warehouse with a local NGO, international NGO or the private sector.Honesty and transparency in dealing with suppliersComputer literate with MS Office skillsAbility to work discretely and professionally with sensitive and confidential information, and sometimes under pressureGood communication in languages spoken in Rakhine and Burmese Computer literate with MS Office skills
