    ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT This position is based in Port Sudan and reports to the Head of Logistics.


    THE ROLE: To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

    Provide support to logistics transport unit operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.

    • Capture all Waybills for deliveries to Cooperating Partners.
    • Monitor all stocks remaining in transit and liaise with transporters to ensure Waybills are provided and captured timely.
    • Produce Consolidated Dispatch Reports (CDR) to verify deliveries under STOs and support with invoice processing.
    • Coordinate and manage the monthly physical inventory count (PIC) process, including coordinating the composition of the PIC Committee and ensuring monthly presence.
    • Support the rollout and implementation of LESS Last Mile, coordination with CPs, and ensuring monthly reporting on performance to CO Commodity Accounting and CP Management.
    • Conduct monthly data quality checks for transport & warehouse transactions, including ensuring all interim areas are cleared.
    • Provide technical support to transport and warehouse teams.
    • Monitor and close open items (open OBD/IBD, STOs, and WOs).
    • Support the LESS & COMET reconciliation process.
    • Monitor losses & ensure correct capturing of data with all documentation in place.
    • Provide requests for all offline movements to Commodity Accounting.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.


      QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


      Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.


      Experience: Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
