What We are Looking For

NRC Iraq is looking for a Livelihoods and Food Security Programme Development Manager to join the mission. The role holder will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the Livelihoods and Food Security programme in the country office.

What You Will Do

Develop CC strategy, technical SOPs / guidelines and Macro LFAs. Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, CC tools, handbooks and guidelines. Responsible of development and manage funding proposal, project budgets and donor reports. Overall management of project staff. Coordinate and manage CC project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.      Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills. Liaison and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent NRC in relevant forums/cluster/working groups.  Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.

What You Will Bring

Advanced degree in International Development, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field. Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Minimum of 5 years’ work experience from a management position in a humanitarian/ recovery context with strong focus on market systems development approaches and youth programming.  Experience in livelihoods and food security programming. Strong project management skills, including project design, budgeting, and reporting. Proven experience in leading and managing teams. Excellent communication, networking, and partnership-building skills. Experience in proposal writing and resource mobilization. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in Arabic, both written and verbal.

What We Offer

Baghdad, Iraq duty station. Contract duration-6 months (Renewable, depending on funding, performance and need for the position). 75% travel, to field locations. Senior Grade 9 in NRC’s Salary Scale.
