Work LocationHome-based with virtual consultations Expected durationASAP - 15.12.25 Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe International Trade Centre (ITC) has a unique mandate within the United Nations system to promote and assist the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries, countries in transition and least developed countries to make better use of trade as a platform for growth, development and job creation. ITC helps improving trading environments and facilitate better management of border operations, including through the implementation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA). About the projects: Among many global Trade Facilitation interventions, ITC implements the following projects: • The Market Access Upgrade Programme (MARKUP II) is an initiative by the European Union (EU) and the ITC, launched in August 2023. This project aims to promote economic growth in the East African Community (EAC) through private sector development and export promotion focused on selected sectors (i.e., avocado, cocoa, coffee, essential oils, French beans, gum Arabic, horticulture, leather, packaging, spices, and tea). MARKUP Phase II seeks to enhance sustainable and inclusive intra-African trade, pan-African trade, and trade with the EU through value addition, compliance, trade facilitation, investment, technology transfer, and institutional support. • The \"Ready4Trade Central Asia: Fostering Prosperity through the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor\" is a four-year EU-funded project implemented by the International Trade Centre . It aims to advance the EU - Central Asia connectivity agenda through increasing the operational efficiency of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and internationalization of Central Asian business.. This will be achieved through simplifying cross-border formalities in Central Asia; improving regional coordination countries to foster trade and transport connectivity; and enhancing the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) to facilitate their access to regional and EU markets, including through the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor. The project builds on the reforms initiated during the first phase of the project (2020-2024), including the introduction of national and regional Trade Facilitation Portals. Under both projects, ITC in close cooperation with partners is spearheading the development of a “Corridor View platform” a dynamic digital platform that will bring together key trade and transport data along Eastearn Africa and Central Asian corridors. The Corridor View will consolidate information on trade formalities, performance indicators, infrastructure, policy frameworks and other relevant data into a single interactive interface. The platform will leverage on existing tools when available and serve policymakers, corridor management agencies, traders and development partners by improving transparency and efficiency along these corridors. To advance this initiative, ITC is seeking a Visual interface designer to produce a userfriendly, high‑fidelity, static visual mock‑ups of the Corridor View platform. These mock‑ups will illustrate the core features and functions and guide stakeholder consultations, ensuring alignment on look, feel and functionality before technical development.
