Job description

The Digital & Green Innovation Action (DGI) is a programme powered by GIZ, BMZ and the EU. Focused on a just and inclusive transition, the DGI merges digitalization with sustainability (Twin Transition), driving solutions for global challenges and fostering economic, social, and environmental benefits. Targeting entrepreneurship and innovation, DGI supports sustainable development, with a special emphasis on empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups to address environmental issues. The programme is a Team Europe collaboration, which aims to support technology-powered solutions and dialogues addressing pressing environmental challenges.

Your tasks

As part of your internship, you will have the following tasks, among others:

Support team implementation and coordination of supported projects of the Digital & Green Innovation Action (DGI) in Africa and Asia Support set up and data collection as part of the programme’s monitoring and evaluation (m&e) activities Assist in the organisation of events related to the DGI Asia iteration Design of communication materials (e.g., factsheets, power point slides, project summaries and articles) Support with internal workshops and international conferences Research background information, supporting the processes of the DGI Assist the project’s knowledge management, e.g., identifying and documenting good organisational practices Take over tasks in day-to-day business and support of administrative processes

Your profile

You are studying from at least the fifth semester onwards in a field related to e.g., digitalisation, climate/environment, business administration, public policy, communication, social sciences You gained initial experiences in the field(s) of development cooperation and/ or climate/ environment/ digitalisation You gained first experiences in organising (virtual/blended/on site) events and meetings Your strengths include quick comprehension, attention to detail, very good analytical & communication skills, innovative thinking, intercultural sensitivity, and team spirit You possess very good organisational skills, are used to working independently and take personal ownership over tasks and assignments You are highly familiar with Microsoft 365 applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and Sharepoint/ Teams) and enjoy preparing communication materials, advanced IT and communication skills are an advantage Excellent command of spoken and written English and good German; other spoken and written language skills are an asset Willingness to regularly travel for business inside Germany is required
