GIZ's Partnering for Readiness team aims to provide partner countries and their national and regional institutions with the necessary institutional and technical expertise to access climate finance independently. Our mission is to build a knowledge hub for access to and readiness for climate finance and to create a platform where partner countries and institutions can learn from each other. A particular focus is on financing adaptation to climate change.
Under the guidance of a supervisor, you will contribute to tasks in the area of access to climate finance, also in relation to the GCF and its readiness programme. You will support colleagues in their work with partner countries and in knowledge preparation and exchange on topics such as direct access modality of GCF, climate finance access of SIDS, transparency and integrity in the management of financial resources, green financial systems, and climate finance training. In doing so, you will get to know the administrative and organizational processes of GIZ's operations. During your internship, you will gain an insight into the day-to-day business of the team, participate in, plan and prepare for meetings and discussions.
