Do you also find it alarming that transport accounts for 24% of energy-related greenhouse gas emissions? Simultaneously, mobility is crucial for economic development, social inclusion, and sustainable cities. We are working on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) at the intersection of urban transportation, climate, and development policies, aiming to make mobility more sustainable worldwide. The global project TUMI Just Mobility promotes concepts and measures for a globally just mobility. To this end, it is active in the following areas:
As part of the TUMI E-Bus Mission, it advises and supports cities worldwide in designing and implementing measures for climate-friendly and just transport systems. Within the EU co-financed measure \"MoVe Yaoundé\" it promotes active mobility in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It also supports the professionalization of the local informal transport sector (together with Agence Française de Développement, AFD). It strengthens the cross-sectoral expertise for a globally just mobility through knowledge products and further education offers. It positions associated transport concepts in global and local city and specialist networks.For these activities, the project works with national and international partners, including WRI, ITDP, UITP, C40, ICLEI, ICCT and AFD. We are looking for creative and engaging minds to help us on our way to make mobility more sustainable, accessible and gender-equitable!
