Our vision at atingi is a world in which digital learning is inclusive, accessible, relevant, safe and secure for all. In developing and emerging countries, access to lifelong learning opportunities is scarce and remains a challenge, especially for disadvantaged groups with diverse educational backgrounds. To address this gap, GIZ is implementing the atingi platform, a Moodle-based, open-source Learning Management System. We are also strongly aligned with the international Principles for Digital Development. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, BMZ.
For our product management & technology team in Bonn, Germany, we are looking for a curious, creative and well-organised intern. We offer first-hand experience in Digital Transformation - a highly relevant field in international cooperation and development –, an agile work environment in a young and motivated team and the possibility to learn and network in our organisation.
In this role, you will be part of the product management & technology team. During your internship, you will:
Support our implementation of an efficient and effective digital learning environment through administering bug fixing, platform maintenance, data lifecycle and data privacy tasks in our LMS environment, and contributing to theWe atingistas are a motivated and passionate bunch! You work best with us if you are creative, take initiative, and if you challenge us with outlandish ideas that help us reach our ambitious goals.
You study computer science from the 5th semester onwards. We also welcome motivated and committed applicants from related disciplines who can demonstrate a strong affinity to and experience in product management and the complete software development lifecycle You have first experience in the fields of user experience or user research You have great interest in digital learning and the potential that new technologies can have on the digitalisation of the education sector You have knowledge or experience in international cooperation and international relations, education or social sciences are of advantage, as is experience in GIZ partner countries You have first experience in agile processes like Kanban You have a high-level fluency in English; proficiency in German, French or Spanish is a benefitThe position is ideal for applicants looking to develop their career in the field of digital learning and the application of digital solutions to international development work.
