Transport accounts for around a quarter of global energy-related CO2 emissions. In order to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, a transformation and extensive decarbonisation of the transport sector by 2050 is necessary. The project 'Mobilize Net Zero - Facilitating the global transport transformation', funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), supports countries in the Global South in strengthening their commitment to climate-friendly transport. The project is part of a larger cluster covering a wide range of issues related to mobility, infrastructure, and climate change. Our flat-hierarchy team consists of around 30 dedicated colleagues from the fields of transport planning, economics, development cooperation, political science, communication, and more.
