Purpose of Job

This role is for a 12-month internship, working within the Donor Partnerships (DP) Strategy, Policy, Analysis and Communications team. The intern reports to the Associate Director and works closely alongside the Associate Manager Strategic Analysis, and the Analyst. The team works to produce reports and analysis on the donor funds portfolio, to thereby support EBRD’s overall donor funds operations and shape strategies relating to donor funds/blended finance.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of analytical documents/reports, including the Annual Donor Report, DFI Blended Concessional Finance Paper, and other internal/external documents;
  • Support the collection and reconciliation of raw data from both IT systems and teams, liaising with departments across the Bank for inputs as required;
  • Support the continued maintenance and updating of internal databases;
  • Provide data analysis on donor funds portfolio, for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis;
  • Support the production of communication products such as presentations, briefing notes, other donor visibility products;
  • Support the production of research papers and knowledge products related to EBRD’s use of donor funds/blended finance.
  • Provide a range of administrative support tasks as required by the team.

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Graduate qualification (Masters) in International Development/Relations, Public Policy, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or other relevant degree.

      Knowledge & Expertise

      • Excellent quantitative/numerical skills with the ability to interpret technical/financial information; these skills will be tested as part of the hiring process;
      • Knowledge of and interest in development finance and international relations;
      • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with ability to write clear text for internal and external audiences;
      • Ability to work effectively in teams across a multi-cultural environment;
      • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines;
      • Ability to prioritise appropriately and work with varying levels of guidance; independent and self-driven, able to take initiative and adapt to new situations and tasks easily
      • Experience in cleaning and management of large datasets is required, knowledge in relational database management would be desirable
      • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, experience in data analytics related software (e.g., Tableau, SQL, R) would be desirable
      • Knowledge of statistical analysis and econometric modelling for empirical research would be desirable,
