Work LocationGeneva Expected duration3-6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe internship is located in the Information Systems Management Section (ISMS) within the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM), Geneva, Switzerland. This internship is for a minimum of 5 months and maximum of 6 months with a desired starting date in February 2025, is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work 5 days per week (40 hours) and reports to head of the Information Systems Management Section Operations Team. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM)’s Information Systems Management Section (ISMS) Team. The duties of interns may include, but are not limited to, providing support for computer information systems, and creating weekly reports on systems usage. Interns will assist in the preparation of travel kits of hardware and software for travelling staff. Interns will assist in managing a range of cybersecurity tools. Interns will also assist in implementing IT projects and contributing to the preparation of reports and other work products. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or PhD Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Programme.
