BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
As WFP continues to adapt to a more challenging funding and operational landscape, wide-ranging reforms are being implemented across several areas. These include adjustments to organizational structures, the management and prioritization of financial resources, and the size and composition of our global workforce.
In this context, the Mauritania Country Office (CO) had an organizational alignment exercise which implementation is ongoing. This initiative responds to the current financial constraints resulting from reduced donor contributions and aims to enhance efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and strengthen operational impact.
The primary objective of the exercise is to realign the CO structure with the Country Strategic Plan, identifying the most effective organizational models and the skills and talent required to deliver on strategic priorities.
As part of this process, several new positions have been created following the abolishment and agreed separations of certain positions & staff. These vacancies will be filled through a rigorous selection process, with internal/external advertisements aimed at attracting highly qualified candidates. The HR Associate Talent acquisition will work in close coordination with the Head of HR Unit, Hiring Managers, and relevant stakeholders to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for the newly established positions as well as the positions modified.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University degree in Human Resources, Administration, Finance, law international relations or related field.
Experience:
6 years of relevant experience in Human resources management and recruitment. Experience in organizational alignment implementation
Knowledge & Skills:
Mastery of the computer tool: Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
Languages:
Fluent in French and English language.
