INTERNSHIP OFFICE BACKGROUND
To effectively address the growing demands faced by the Front Office, it is crucial to strengthen our team with additional support. As the volume and complexity of daily operations continue to rise, the need for a dedicated Front Office Intern has become increasingly evident.
As the Front Office serves as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, its responsibilities now require quicker response times, greater adaptability, improved organization, and better attention to detail.
In response to these rising demands, UNDP is seeking a motivated and organized Front Office Intern to provide essential support to our daily operations. This role offers invaluable, hands-on experience in a professional office environment, allowing the successful candidate to develop critical skills in communication, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving. There is also an opportunity to collaborate closely with different units within UNDP and the broader UN team, gaining firsthand exposure to the multifaceted nature of our day-to-day activities.
By joining our Front Office team, the intern will play a vital role in managing the increased workload, ensuring efficiency and professionalism in all interactions. This position is especially well-suited for students or recent graduates who are eager to build a strong foundation in office management and contribute meaningfully to our mission of advancing sustainable development.
Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will support the Head of Office and the Front Office in ensuring smooth, timely, and well‑coordinated UNDP contributions to the UN Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) and UN agencies. Key responsibilities include:

Compensation and logistics
This is a paid internship and for local hiring only. The selected candidate is required to report to the office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Subject to work exigency, one remote workday per week may be permitted, following the policy of the UNDP Philippines Country Office.
Other conditions are as follows:
UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents and/or illness or death incurred during the internship; The intern will not be eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any post in UNDP during the period of the internship; The intern must provide proof of enrollment in health insurance plan; The intern is not a staff member and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity; The intern is expected to work full time, but flexibility is allowed for educational programmes; The intern needs to obtain financing for subsistence and make their own arrangements for internship, travel, accommodation, etc.; The intern may be provided with a laptop and internet connectivity while performing work in the office; When necessary, the intern may be required to join official field missions outside of the duty station, at the expense of the appropriate project or unit; and The Intern is expected to have his/her own equipment (laptop) and internet connectivity.
