Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Finance and Administration Assistant is assigned to Pacific Subregional Office in Fiji (SPSO) with the Pacific Department (PARD). PARD is responsible for maintaining client relations, delivering ADB assistance to countries in the Pacific region, and coordinating with development partners. SPSO was established in 2004 and is responsible for country programming, portfolio management, processing and implementation of projects in various sectors of projects for Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Niue, Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu.
You will be based at our Pacific Subregional Office in Suva, Fiji. You will report to the designated international staff and senior officer.
Your Role
As a Finance and Administration Assistant, you will assist with the office administration and logistics function of the Subregional Office and will also support assigned financial and administrative tasks.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting and related fields. At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a private or public organization. Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to make simple casual links, pro-and-con lists and analyses to reach a decision; and set priorities for tasks in order of importance. Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and teams from different cultural backgrounds. Proficiency in using common officer computer applications like word-processing, spreadsheets and graphics software. Familiarity with Oracle systems will be considered as plus. This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of three years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (\"Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. It may be extended on an exceptional basis for a further fixed period at the option of ADB. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This opening is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of Fiji.
