Result of ServiceThe outcome of this consultancy will be the successful completion of the work by ERDCN, delivering a full report on the state of the art of the complex interrelation among debt, climate and nature. Work LocationThe consultant will carry on the needed tasks in his / her own place of permanent residence and, if required, he / she will be required to assist to a meeting in the ECLAC venue. Expected duration10 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the TS director and the Senior Economic Affairs Officer, the consultant will have the following duties: - To support the coordination of the joint work of the Technical Secretariat (TS). - To participate and take notes in some of the stakeholder meetings on behalf of the Director. - To keep the ERDCN information in order to support the TS activities. - Review the analytical work carried out by the expert review’s support. - In general, to support all the activities of the TS Director. Qualifications/special skillsThe consultant must be a professional in economics, finance or engineering and, preferably, with postgraduate studies in economics, environmental economics, and / or public finance. Technician in Business & Administration the consultant must present evidence of at least two (2) years of professional experience in supporting high level management activities at the international level. Experienced professional with extensive background in management and marketing roles, expertise in managing executive support. Experience building and optimizing operating procedures The consultant must have specific knowledge in debt management and sustainability; climate change, sustainable finance, public policies, environment, and sustainable development. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this position fluent English is required. knowledge of any other UN official languages is an advantage. Fluency in Portuguese will be positive. Additional InformationNot available.
