Work LocationHome based Expected duration01.12.25 - 31.05.26 Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer at the Trade Analysis Branch, the consultant who will have expertise on the trade and food security in the Caribbean. • Advice on the problematic of trade and food security in the Caribbean to develop the two-validation workshop in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and Bridgetown, Barbados • Deliver a presentation at the validation workshops in Port of Spain and Bridgetown he main conclusions of the Caribbean regional assessment report. In agreement with local officials, design the recommendations of the validation workshop. • Develop and integrate insights from the Caribbean regional report into the capacity-building package, tailoring the training materials to the needs of beneficiaries in the region. • Given knowledge on the two beneficiary countries, support the development of the national capacity-building package for the trade component of the Development Account (DA) project. • Ensure that the e-learning modules clearly introduce trade tools, such as voluntary sustainability standards, that can be leveraged to enhance food security. • Develop and integrate insights from the Caribbean regional report into the capacity-building package, tailoring the training materials to the needs of beneficiaries in the region. Qualifications/special skillsAn advanced university degree, Master, in economics and management is required. At least 6 years of particular work experience relating to trade issues with expert understanding of and experience with private voluntary sustainability standards is required Experience in reviewing reports and preparing curricula for training materials. Excellent knowledge on the trade and food security challenges in the Caribbean region. LanguagesFluency oral and written in English is required. Additional InformationNot available.
