Under the overall supervision of the Migration Health Nurse Officer (MHNO) and the direct supervision of the Senior Nurse the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Support in interpreting correctly and accurately from English into one (or more, as an advantage), and vice versa, of the following languages of importance (Swahili/Somali/Dinka/Nuer/Amharic/Tigringa/Oromo etc.) during information sessions, pre/post-test counselling, medical history obtaining, laboratory tests and procedures, and physical examination, as conducted by IOM medical staff, with the following considerations: Support in interpreting the medical personnel to the applicant and applicant to the medical personnel, capturing the accurate meaning of information provided and needed to be passed on. Interpreter must hold with utmost respect/confidentiality any information shared during physical examination. Failure to do so represents major breach of the code of conduct and standards IOM adheres to.2. Support with directing applicants ' flow or minor messenger’s tasks to the different unit of the IOM Medical processing centre.
3. Escorts applicants for external consultations as needed at non IOM medical facility
4. Provide non-clerical support to medical staff as needed, such as guiding applicants within the facility and support in organizing waiting areas.
5. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
Required Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION
Secondary school Diploma or more A Fluency in English AND at least one of the following languages: Somali, Oromo, Amharic, Tigrinya; Dinka, Nuer, Arabic.EXPERIENCE
At least two years relevant experience in translation is an asset Having experience with interpreting for Immigration medical examination or resettlement is Highly expectedSKILLS
Computer Literate Excellent communication skills;Languages
