Under the overall guidance of the Finance and Admin Officer and direct supervision of the Logistics Assistant, the Driver provides reliable and safe driving services ensuring high accuracy of work. The Driver demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Duties and Responsibilities
The Driver provides driving services to the UNOCHA staff in the South Sudan, Consultants and Experts and UN staff on mission
1.Ensures transport of Authorized persons, focusing on achievement of the following results:-
Drive office vehicle for transport of authorized persons, whenever and wherever required in the Juba Region; strictly observing traffic rules and regulations; demonstrating exemplary driving practice.
Log all trips, daily mileage, and petrol consumption and keep the logbook up-to-date.
Receive and take visitors to and from the airport; assisting with immigration formalities and taking them to and fro their places of residence.
2. Checks the mechanical status, focusing on achievement of the following result:-
Check the mechanical status of the assigned vehicle on a daily basis; wash and clean it regularly; undertake minor repairs and report immediately the major repairs to be carried out.
Ensure timely servicing of the vehicle, as and when necessary.
Promptly report accidents involving the assigned vehicle in accordance with the established rules and regulations.
3. Ensures all the documentation are valid, focusing on achievement of the following results:
Ensure insurance cover of assigned vehicle is valid.
4. Ensures delivery and collections of mail, focusing on achievement of the following result:-
Collects and delivers mail, documents, and other items from and to the Post Office/UNDP/Else offices to various destinations as advised.
Perform any other functions as may be required from time to time, and as may be assigned by the Administration.

Required Skills and Experience Education:Completion of Secondary Education preferably supplemented by technical knowledge in driving
Experience:At least 2 years’ experience as a driver.
Valid driving license and certificate of good conduct.
Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair
