Context
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of IOM Ghana’s National Communications Officer, in close coordination with the relevant units in the Regional Office for West and Central Africa, the incumbent will assist with communications needs of IOM Ghana across programmes, projects and departments.
- Support communication and awareness-raising activities, including those promoting women and youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and the migration and climate change nexus, by assisting in the preparation of materials and routine tasks in line with IOM’s communication approach.
- Assist in preparing and updating materials for communication and advocacy, including standard promotional materials for IOM programmes and activities
- Support the management of IOM's social media accounts by drafting routine posts, uploading approved content across IOM Ghana’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and monitoring audience responses.
- Under close supervision, assist in the production and post-production of multimedia content, including photos and videos of IOM activities and events, and perform basic editing following IOM brand guidelines.
- Assist in preparing and formatting approved press briefing notes, human interest stories, blogs, digital newsletter, website content and similar materials for further dissemination.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for the organization of events, workshops, and campaigns.
- Undertake duty travel as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Sciences, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of professional experience; or
- High school diploma, with four years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. Experience
- Communications and project support experience.
- Exposure to production and basic post-production of audio-visual materials.
