Corporate Services – Senior Analyst

About this position

We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, and responsible person to work as a Corporate Services Senior Analyst in the Office of Protocol. As a Corporate Service Senior Analyst, you will provide proactive professional support to the Office of Protocol in high-level events and daily operations.

You will work in the Office of Protocol, which is part of the Office of the Secretary. The Office of the Secretary provides services for the IDB and IIC Boards of Governors and Boards of Executive Directors (including their internal committees), the MIF Donors Committee, and senior management.

What you’ll do:

Coordinate and execute the planning and organization of all ceremonial aspects of official meetings, including the IDB/IIC Annual Meeting and the Governor’s regional meetings. Guide and apply the observance of the order of precedence at all official events that take place in the Bank. Prepare executive summaries, bios, minute-by-minute programs, scripts, and talking points for Annual Meetings and regional Governors’ meetings. Generate key indicators to measure the efficiency of services provided by the Protocol Office and create instructional infographics. Draft protocolary correspondence, including verbal notes with country members, States, and embassies. Oversee the updating and implementation of policies related to the Representation of Expenses of officials and the use of Symbols of the Bank. Prepare, edit, and revise invitations and general correspondences related to official events. Coordinate high-level visits to the Bank, including coordinating with IDB Security before their arrival to expedite their access to the Bank’s facilities. Coordinate the periodical review of key documents such as the Section’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), diplomatic lists, heads of state and head of government lists, and the Protocol Handbook. Lead the preparation and execution of National Day celebrations at the Bank, which includes liaising with country members’ offices and overseeing the overall organization of these events. Administrative skills: Manage the agenda and travel expenses for the Office of Protocol. Create executive presentations, reports, and minutes.

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, political science, or international relations or other related fields. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience: At least two years of experience in international diplomacy and international organizations. Effective interpersonal, management, and negotiation skills are validated through successful stakeholder interaction. Proven ability in team management and collaboration. Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish. A working understanding of French and/or Portuguese is desirable.

Requirements

Type of contract and duration

International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
