The purpose of a Team Leader is to manage a CC project team at field office level.
The following is a brief description of the role.

Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
Manage the Shelter field teams (6 staffs) in the NRC offices of Myitkyina (where you will be based), Bhamo and Lashio. Teams will be composed of Officers and Technical assistants. Work with NRC NE Project Coordinator and field teams in design and planning of activities to ensure cost-effective and appropriate durable shelter solutions for the North East Myanmar context.Maintain regular contact with senior field shelter staff regarding progress, plans, and constraints. Seek to identify problems in advance and work towards solving them.Supervise process of land identification, site selection, community consultations, partnership agreements, site planning and shelter design, prototype building, shelter construction and training for skilled labour, monitoring and quality control, handover, post-process information dissemination and post-occupancy evaluation.Employ cyclical assessment, monitoring and evaluation process which will assist to identify which operational changes could most improve effectiveness of service delivery. Personally monitor all field operations regularly to ensure works performed are up to highest professional standard, delivered on time and within budget.Maintain regular contact with contractors, beneficiaries and skilled labourers regarding their progress, plans, and constraints. Seek to identify problems in advance and solve them.Assess and estimate costs of ongoing and/or new NRC activities.Submit regular project progress reports.Oversee coordination of vehicle movements of any NRC Shelter Project staff members to and from the field sites.Coordinate and responsibility for the implementation of the emergency and shelter funding in both Kachin and Northern Shan State, in line with the Northeast’s Shelter Policy and strategyConduct emergency response operations in both states in coordination with UNOCHA and other NGO partners Manage and expand NRC partnerships with local organisations and camp-based committees to implement joint projects Produce regular, timely and accurate narrative and financial reports of emergency implementation to the Shelter Coordinator Coordinate with other CCs to support their emergency response activities or request support for integrated emergency responses Ensure appropriate monitoring of emergency response activities, as well as reporting of GORs data through the shelter coordinator Mapping of and build capacity of CBOs early warning systems, emergency response and protection fundamentals and lifesaving practices and preparedness planning Ensuring accountability to affected population channels are available and clearly communicated during emergency responses Support the logistics team to ensure that procurement of emergency response items are to the highest standard possible and completed in a timely manner. Regular review of emergency items stock levels, flagging to Shelter Coordinator when there are low stock levels Any other emergency response tasks as requested by the Shelter Coordinator.Critical interfaces
