CERN is looking for a Coordinator associated to Cleaning, Waste & Recovery Services to help serve more than 10,000 users on the Organization’s premises (French and Swiss sites including experimental points) and assist in providing efficient campus services. The Site and Civil Engineering (SCE) Department manages and develops CERN’s real estate assets and infrastructures in agreement with CERN’s scientific strategy, as well as all the services related to the caretaking and operation of the CERN site.
Within the SCE - Services & Supply Chain Group we are looking for a person to join the small team that coordinates services providing CERN’s community cleaning (approximately 600 buildings and halls, which corresponds to ~ 340,000 m2 including surface and underground premises, offices, public areas, workshops, storage areas, sanitary facilities, and technical facilities), waste management (~8800t in 2022) and recovery (2nd-hand internal reuse, external sales, recycling).
Functions
As Coordinator for Cleaning, Waste & Recovery Services, you will:
Coordinate the team responsible for cleaning, waste, and recovery services: Monitor and dispatch team activities;Document the operational and administrative processes with a focus on quality and continuous improvement to increase efficiency and user experience;Support CERN internal clients’ requests;Maintain documentation and archives (web pages, internal controls and procedures, databases);Carry out regular analysis, controls, service reviews and reporting. Develop and deploy KPIs. Follow-up underline service contracts: Ensure the correct application of contracts technical specifications;Proactively manage communication flows;Process transactions, book-keeping operations and invoicing requests. Ensure cost controls to remain in the frame of the annual budgetary envelope. Ensure quality. Support development and innovation of Campus Services: Contribute to the definition of the technical specifications when market surveys and calls for tenders are launched to renew the service contracts;Propose and contribute to creative solutions and projects.Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of facility management, environmental management or a related field.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience as a service provider, overseeing the contractual relationships, including Service Level Agreement, monitoring activities and teams.Experience in continuous improvement or LEAN management would be an asset.Technical competencies:
