The Cash and Markets Information Management Officer will support the effective management of information systems and data within the Cash and Markets team. The Officer will assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance project implementation and informed decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with the Cash and Markets team members , Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team, Programme staff, Area Offices field staff and other stakeholders to ensure that high-quality data and information are accessible, reliable, and used effectively to achieve program objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support IM System Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of an efficient Information Management (IM) system tailored to the needs of the Cash and Markets team. Support the allocation and management of IM resources to ensure system functionality and reliability. Assist in Data Collection and Survey Design: Collaborate with the Cash and Markets team and the MEL team to design and implement data collection tools, surveys, and assessments. Ensure data collection aligns with project goals and meets quality standards. Contribute to Analytical Products: Support the production of data analysis products such as dashboards, maps, and infographics. Utilize data visualization tools to present information in a clear and impactful way that aids decision-making. Ensure Data Quality: Assist in maintaining high standards for data quality by conducting data validation, checks, and thorough documentation. Support continuous improvement efforts for data management and capacity building activities. Recommend Process Improvements: Participate in evaluating current IM processes and provide suggestions for improvements. Assist in identifying opportunities for digitization and automation of data management tools and workflows. Digitalize Tools and Trackers: Support the development and evaluation of existing data management tools and trackers. Assist in identifying opportunities for tool digitization and automation to enhance efficiency. Support Data Reconciliation: Work with finance, logistics, and field teams to ensure accurate reconciliation of Cash and Voucher Activities and Markets Based intervention data. Support efforts to align financial and program data for accurate reporting. Collaborate on Reporting: Coordinate with the MEL team and other teams to support accurate and timely data reporting. Assist in preparing data inputs for donor reports and proposals as required. Ensure Compliance with Data Protection: Implement and adhere to NRC’s data protection policies across all activities. Support staff training on data protection protocols and ensure compliance. Facilitate Information Dissemination: Assist in the development and implementation of effective methods for information dissemination within NRC. Promote knowledge sharing through user-friendly platforms and ensure the accessibility of analytical products. Perform any other tasks as assigned by the line manager to support the objectives of the Cash and Markets team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in information management, data analysis, or data visualization, preferably within humanitarian or development contexts. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.  Knowledge of QGIS is an asset. Understanding of Cash and Markets concepts is preferred. Experience in designing data collection tools and surveys using advanced software. Knowledge of data protection principles and experience implementing data protection protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
