    To deliver a wide range of business support processes and activities for a specific professional area of work, to facilitate effective service delivery.

    Under the direct supervision of the Government Liaison Officer (Customs and Protocol) , the Protocol Assistant SC 4 will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Book a VIP lounge in Port Sudan airport for the arrival and departure of dignitaries.
    • Provide assistance with lost baggage for WFP personnel, including claiming, tracking, and pick-up.
    • Follow up with the respective government offices to ensure the necessary approvals are received on time.
    • Draft NVs to MOFA and follow up with the relevant authorities for the booking of the Ministerial Lounge for the arrival and departure dignitaries.
    • Liaise with embassies and consulates for the smooth issuance of visas.
    • Assist with the drafting and issuance of entry visas, stay permits, and existing visas for WFP personnel whenever required.
    • Assist WFP personnel with the issuance of driving licensing.
    • Handle all aspects of finalizing the driving license after being approved by the concerned authorities as well as supporting in WFP vehicle licensing and registration.
    • Contribute to the daily administrative duties in the absence of the Business Support Assistant
    • Support Government Liaison Unit with the Protocol/Customs related assignments in different Government Offices whenever required.
    • Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

      STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

      Education: Completion of secondary school education.

      Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably part of it acquired in the work related to Protocol. A first-level university degree in combination with three additional years of qualifying relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the 5 years of work experience
