Purpose of Job
The Associate, Software Developer is responsible for design and implementation, support and maintenance of the Bank’s applications and analytic tools, supporting Banking, Treasury, Risk, Finance, Corporate and other teams in the execution of their business processes.
The role includes leading all aspects of the enhancement, maintenance and support of multiple business applications and associated initiatives which are based on enterprise development platforms and related frameworks, often involving collaboration with internal application owners and other members of staff to deliver changes using Agile principles, supporting complex and dynamic business requirements. The role involves applying both business and technical expertise to deliver customer focused support and development services, potentially in a DevOps pipeline with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), but also facilitating manual deployment for legacy applications where necessary.
The individual will be expected to adhere to the core principles of the IT department, these include, but are not limited to - putting our users first; delivering technology that is useful, elegant and reliable; knowledgeable and engaging about both technology and our business; reliable and effective in both provision and execution; innovative and inquisitive; integral to the success of the Bank

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Integration, ETL Developer
• Extensive experience of Informatica 9 or 10
• Extensive hands on experience in Data Warehouse development, implementation and support
• Direct experience in implementing Data and System Integration solutions
• Direct experience in resolving DI/SI issues
• Direct experience of Oracle & SQL Server
• Good understanding of Kimball methodology / star schema design
• Experience of Informatica’s Metadata Manager or EDC an advantage
• Use and understanding of IICS an advantage
• Understanding of XML, SOAP, use of services and Real Time functionality within Informatica suite.
• Experience in BMC Control-M
• Experience in finance services
• Relevant degree, or equivalent experience
• Solid experience of Scrum, managing product and release backlogs in JIRA or equivalent
• Experience of relevant EBRD (or equivalent) Business domain areas and operational processes
• Experience of analytical approaches to objectively measure release value
• Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• Python experience would be an advantage
• Experience in Cloud based data integration solutions e.g. MS Fabric, Databricks would be an advantage
• Solid experience working in a product-based environment and how that can tie with aspects of programme/project governance.
• Solid understanding of enterprise/business architecture; ability to provide holistic and multidimensional stakeholder views essential
• Experience of agile product ownership approaches and techniques, or a willingness to embrace new ways of working desirable
• Good judgement; skills and record of accomplishment of strong solution-orientation and problem-solving
• Demonstrated strong analytical and decision-making skills with a structured approach to delivery
• Experience in project and/or programme management, as well as change management essential
• Strong oral and written presentation skills;
• Experience in technology enablement (agile)
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to influence and work well with others, with the personal authority to effectively harness the cooperation of peers across departments
• Team player, able to work with and manage through others in a matrix and collegiate style
• Excellent active listening skills and interpersonal and communication skills in English to communicate with a wide variety of people at all levels in the Bank
