What we are looking for

We are looking for a highly qualified, experience and dynamic Area Support Manager to actively contribute to the response Area Office Strategy.

What you will do

This role involves coordinating support function within a large Area Office supporting the Area Manager. As part of the senior management team, the Support Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient work systems that help to reduce impact on individuals affected by conflict and displacement.

Key responsibilities;

You will provide input on operational support to Area Plan of Action, coordinate and align operational support with program plans at Area Level. Ensure quality support to project implementation, facilitating Area Support Budget, area level budgets, including support cost. Line manage and facilitate training and technical capacity building for support staff (Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, and ICT). Implementation of new country specific technical SOPs, guidelines, and tools in Area (Admin/HR, Logistics/ICT, Finance). Support implementation of anti-corruption measures and procedures. Developing and providing regular reports on Area level to Country Office and Area Manager. Ensure that efficient, sustainable and flexible HR structures are in place. Ensure procurement plans, HR plans and spending plans for each project are in place. Support creation of good working environment based on the NRC values.  Member of the Area Management Group and will support Area Manager on Area Level in external representation, coordination and relationship building (networking).

What you will bring

A Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study. Minimum 3 years' experience in middle management positions in a humanitarian/recovery context. Previous experience working in the United Nations or INGOs, especially in support systems (HR, Finance, Logistic. Knowledge of HR, Finance, Logistic and Administration. Knowledge of the context of Rakhine State of Myanmar required. Fluency in Burmese and English, both written and verbal. Experience applying appropriate problem analysis tools, mechanisms, and processes at all stages of the project cycle. Experience in facilitating the space for communication that is appreciative of everyone's contribution.

Duty station: Rakhine State Area Office – Sittwe Contract: 12 months (Fixed-term contract renewal based on performance, funds availability and need for the position).
